We love taking part in the spring Harrogate Flower Show and 2025 was no exception! Our show garden was awarded gold, which made the students very happy. We are very grateful to Tesco for sponsoring our show garden this year! Their management team came along and helped to build an insect hotel for our exhibit, which received a lot of positive comments from visitors. We also had the talented team from Living Stone Dry Stone Walling build us a magnificent seating area. Our Operations Manager Phil Airey had a busy show. He interviewed by Jason Williams, aka The Cloud Gardener for his video on small space gardening ideas at the show. You can watch his video here. Phil also took part in one of garden designer Nick Fryer’s 60-minute gardening talks. And Phil, along with student Mark, got involved with the filming of a popular BBC series featuring two well-known antiques experts! We can’t give further details until the programme’s aired. Our indoor plant sales stand did well; our acers proved very popular! They are a wonderful addition to any garden or patio. It’s always a lot of work to set up and break down our show gardens and plant stands, but most definitely worth it! We had a blast and thank you to everyone who came along to see us.

We’re very excited to announce that Horticap will be creating a larger version of our show garden at the new Tesco supermarket site in Harrogate, located off Skipton Road, near the New Park roundabout.
