Nursery
A wide range of perennial plants, shrubs, herbs and seasonal bedding plants are grown on site. In addition a range of hanging baskets and planted tubs are produced seasonally.
Plant production provides a varied programme of activities throughout the year. The students undertake plant propagation including sowing, cuttings, pricking out and division, all involving a wide range of skills.
All plants produced are sold through our on-site shop enabling students to follow the whole process from sowing to selection and purchase by customers.
There are 4 greenhouses, a number of polytunnels and outside growing space covering approximately a quarter of the site to aid quality plant production.
